The more accounts and advertising campaigns, the more important automation is. As in FB, auto rules in Google allow you to control the budget, adjust bids, stop advertising campaigns without a conversion in time, etc.
In the case of Google, you can change advertising campaign parameters depending on time, budget, positions in search results, bids, and other metrics.
Where can I find them and how can I use them?
- Go to the “Tools and settings” section and select “Bulk actions”;
- Next “Performance Planner” → “Rules”;

- Click “+” → select a group (campaigns, ads, keys)

- Set the activation condition (popular options in the screenshot), for example: “When spending $100 on advertising campaigns, set Pause Ads”;

- Specify the frequency of execution, give a clear name and save.

If we consider the classic scenario of an arbitrageur’s work, then the most useful rules will be automatic campaign stops (according to the CC schedule, for example), control of positions in the search results (that is, adjusting the bid to maintain the desired place in the search) and budget management (no need to explain here).
Disclaimer! Do not overdo it with bid changes – sharp jumps trigger Google and can lead to a ban.
